After the harsh, grueling winter we had last year, I don’t think there’s a single Northeasterner who is looking forward to the end of November when temperatures will dip and we will all have to deal with the snowfalls and frigid weather. As a city dweller who is out and about every single day running errands, dropping off and picking up the kids and just generally running all over with my two-year-old, I am trying to prepare as much as possible for the cold weather and how to handle it. 7 A.M Enfant has some smart solutions that can help keep you and your kids warmer in the cold months.
Keeping your baby bundled up is the most important thing because babies don’t retain heat the way older kids and adults do. The Cygnet cover is a reversible cover that works with strollers, car seats or baby carriers.
I received a Cygnet cover for review in black & gray and loved how it’s so easy to put on – just use the velcro straps and you’re good to go. It’s lightweight yet can really retain heat with fake down filling. It’s water-repellent and wind-proof so your baby can be out at any weather and it can be used for babies ages 0-4 years old. I hooked it up to our stroller and went for a quick walk around the block. It was a cold morning (50 degrees) and my son had only a sweater on but the Cygnet kept him warm and cozy. I can’t wait to try it when my son will be wearing a winter coat in a month or so. The Cygnet comes in 4 colors and can be purchased here for $78.
Your baby is warm and snug but what about you? gloves can be a pain to put on and take off all the time (I can’t wear gloves and use keys, credit card or my cell phone at the same time). 7 A.M Enfant has a solution: Warrmmufs. They hook up to the stroller and you just slide your hands in once you’re out the door. Genius! There are three different types of Warmmufs for adults. The Warmmufs 212 come in the most colors (9). IThey’re $38 and can be purchased here. Riding a little scooter in the winter is a healthy activity but for an active kid who wants to take her scooter to the playground those little hands can get cold pretty quickly. Here’s a post I did last year about the Warmmuffs. You can purchase them here for $30.
