Now that the weather is getting cooler I’ve been on the lookout for indoor activities and Symphony Space is the perfect venue for quality performances that are perfect for kids. This Saturday, October 18th, is the annual concert by National Dance Institute’s Celebration Team. 75 artists – all under age 18 will be performing at Symphony Space with choreography based on music and dance from China.
The show, appropriate for kids age 3 and up, is called Under One Sky, NDI Dances China. The performance will include favorites from the NDI repertoire such as “Appalachian Clog” and “The Drum Speaks”. Here’s a video of highlight from the show:
When: October 18th, 2014 at 2pm
Where: Peter J. Sharpe Theater
2537 Broadway, at 95th Street
Price: $16 per child, $26 per adult; $65 family 4-pack. There are deeper discounts for subscribers and groups.
