This is the season of love and spending time with your family and friends, making memories that will be cherished for years to come. It’s the season of joy and finding happiness in your life, creating new traditions for your children and watching their faces light up. It’s also the season of giving – giving to those who are less fortunate than us, in whatever way we can. Especially during this time of year my family and I try to help in different ways, such as donating used clothes and household items, donating new toys to children in need and giving canned food to shelters. One of the easiest things you can do this season to help others is to simply purchase a box of Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers from Dollar General. The One Simple Thing You Can Do This Season to Help a Family with Young Children
From now until December 31st, 2017, for every pack of Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers purchased at Dollar General, the Huggies No Baby Unhugged program will donate a day’s worth of diapers to a family in need (up to 500,000). In addition, Dollar General will donate $1 to the National Diaper Bank Network (up to $5,000). All you have to do is buy a pack of diapers – it’s that simple!
The Huggies No Baby Unhugged program allows babies to thrive by providing diapers and wipes to those in need. So far the program has provided more than 200 million diapers and wipes, including during times of crisis. Huggies is the founding sponsor of the National Diaper Bank Network since 2011. This past September, The NDBN and Huggies announced a study called Diaper Need and Its Impact on U.S. Families. According to the study, one in three families in the U.S is in diaper need, meaning the family struggles to provide enough diapers for their children and to keep them clean, dry and healthy. The study also found that the average household in need falls 19 diapers short each month.
Nineteen diapers isn’t much when you think of it but it can really make a difference to a baby. As mentioned, simply purchasing a box of Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers at Dollar General this month will provide a full day’s worth! Dollar General has pretty deep discounts on diapers as it is so if you plan on buying diapers anyway, consider buying them at Dollar General and making a difference in a baby’s life, as well as in her family’s life.
At my own home, I try to teach my kids about the importance of sharing, not only this month but throughout the year. Sharing can be as simple as sharing a hug and time together while reading a book, or sharing our canned food with people who are in need in our community. The many opportunities of giving to those in need and the particular opportunity of buying a box of Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers at Dollar General this month make this season much more special.
