I’ll be the first to admit it: I am a planner. My weeks are planned well in advance and I know exactly where I’ll go and what I’ll do. But even I can’t foresee everything; There’s always that impromptu picnic, the unexpected concert in the park, or just a situation where we need to find a place to sit and end up sitting on our jackets, if we have them (that’s the best-case scenario), or on the cold, hard concrete if there’s no other choice. But it’s easier now with the Monkey Mat, which is a large portable mat that folds into a tiny little pouch you can attach to your purse, diaper bag or stroller, or just toss in your car. The Monkey Mat is a multiple-award winning mat that is large enough for a few people to sit on comfortably at 5′ by 5′. Its fabric is thin, water-repellant and soft, but allows you to shake off leaves and dirt, so nothing sticks to it. It has loops in the middle where you can attach toys and also has weights in the corner so that it doesn’t blow away. It folds easily into a small pouch that’s attached to it and you just zip it up and attach it with the buckle strap to anything you want, or just put on your wrist.
I recently received the Monkey Mat for review and could not believe how a small 6″ by 6″ pouch can open into such a large mat. It’s not an actual mat, it’s just a thin cloth, but you can definitely sit on it and any type of dirt will brush right off easily and quickly, just shake it out. I remember when I was a kid we used to have a flannel blanket for picnics and it would take forever to get the leaves off. This is so much better and best of all – it’s super-compact and not bulky like a blanket. The Monkey Mat, which is machine-washable, comes in 4 colors: dark khaki, orange, blue and pink.
Here are some of the places where it can be used:
Picnics
Concerts
Parks
Hotels
Airport
Fitness Activities
Home
Beach
Sport Events
Outdoor Venues
You can purchase the Monkey Mat here. Price is $39.99
