How amazing and alive is New York City? A couple of nights ago, I went into Time Square with my seven year old to enjoy the lights before the new year hits.
After a fun dinner at Chevy’s in Time Square, my son and I strolled around Times Square to enjoy the sites (we left the rest of the family at home). I love that Times Square is so vibrant. And bustling at any time — even at 3 am! No matter how warm or cold it is outside, Times Square is always vibrating with excitement.
We live in Queens, a 45 minute subway ride from Manhattan. Both my husband and I were raised outside of the city (he grew up in Port Jervis and I grew up on Long Island), but we both visited the Big Apple frequently. Now, as parents, we try to get into Manhattan at least once or twice a month.
We love to take our kids to museums, restaurants, shows, and cultural landmarks. We’ve created some wonderful memories and unique experiences for our children to experience.

Looks like you and your son had a great time even though it was freezing this week! I need to take my daughter to the Times Square Toys R Us one of these days!
