As I’ve mentioned before, my little one, S, is the picky eater now. However, this morning I had a little success with him. We cooked and he ate.
We made a omelette. Simple, right? It worked.
I put a stepladder against my counter, leaving room for me to be next to the stove. I cracked the eggs, added milk (I am lactose intolerant, but if milk and certain cheeses are cooked, I can have them).
S helped by helping to beat the eggs, added cheese, added spinach and helped to “cut” the avocado. I did do most of it, but he was helping and he loved it.
He ended up eating most of the avocado too.
I stood between him and the stove (and didn’t leave that position), so it was safe. It may have gotten a tiny bit messy (the cheese kind of went everywhere), but S was happy, snacked on avocado and ate around half of the portion I gave him.

My youngest is the pickiest of the bunch! If she could live on pasta and cheese, she would! I make rice and she hates it but little by little Im trying to train her to eat whatever mom & dad make. It’s hard but she’s learning. Now making her eat her veggies is another story. Sigh…

Ben is like that too, but I serve raw veggies or smoothies and it does help. Keep trying!
