Skylanders Fans! Skylanders Trap Team Has Arrived!

Skylanders Trap Team for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Wii, Wii U, 3DS, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and – for the first time ever – iPad®, Kindle Fire and Android tablets! The newest installment in this franchise leads the Holiday Hot Gift Lists for fourth consecutive year!

Portal Masters can now “trap” the most wanted villains in Skylands and then play as them in the game in the battle for good. There are two ways to play: you can play as a Skylander or capture Skylands’ most wanted foes and unleash them for good. Portal Masters “capture” a variety of special villains from the game and magically transport them from Skylands into the real world. Kaos is back to his evil tricks. He comes across the legendary Cloudcracker Prison – which he blows up, releasing the most wanted villains, as well as shards of the magical substance TRAPTANIUM. Now it’s up to Portal Masters to recapture all of the escaped villains using powerful TRAPTANIUM Traps and defeat Kaos before it’s too late!

The Skylanders Trap Team Starter Kit comes with 2 characters, 2 traps, and a new TRAPTANIUM Portal among some other things. With new multi-colored lights and villain vault, the cool technology of the portal is impressive. The new TRAPTANIUM PORTAL is a now ring of magical energy which reverses the magic of the toys to life category by letting players bring digital characters into the physical world. A built-in audio speaker allows players to magically hear the unique voices of the villains travel from the game into the real world Trap, and vice versa. The Trap also lights up in sync with the villain speaking, adding even more magic to the experience.

The characters that come in the starter pack are all new and exciting.

“Food Fight” is a Core Life Skylander which is a living artichoke with a tomato launcher;
Trap Master “Snap Shot” is an alligator/crocodile character with a Traptanium bow & arrow;
2 traps: A Water Trap used to catch water villains and a Life Trap used to capture the first villain (the sheep creep)
The Quick Start guide (which has come with all starter kits since Spyro’s Adventures)

There is also a Dark Edition Starter kit available. There are some differences between the regular console editions and the dark editions. The same characters are included (“Food Fight” and “Snap Shot” are colored black with silver accents), as well as The Dark Edition “Wild Fire” character which has a red heat shield with a body colored silver to black. The traps are the same, but the Ultimate Kaos Trap is also included so you can capture and play as Kaos! The TRAPTANIUM portal of power, trading cards, stickers, quick start guide and poster are also included.

A brand new group of Skylanders, known as Trap Masters, will lead the charge armed with their oversized crystal weapons in the fight against more than 40 most wanted villains and returning nemesis Kaos. The game introduces more than 50 new playable Skylanders heroes. Lots of new Skylander characters and Traptanium Trap Master characters will be available to make this just the ultimate collector’s game. Characters such as Lob Star, Déjà vu, ShortCut, SnapShot, TreadHead, Cobra Cadabra, Breeze, Drobit, EyeSmall, Gillrunt are just a few new ones to enjoy.
