Skylanders Homework Pack

Do you have a child obsessed with Skylanders? Do you feel confused when your child tries to explain the game or asks for help, but you are uneducated about the whole thing? Well, put your worries aside because now a homework pack is available for parents designed to help you become an expert in your home. (Read more after the jump).

This is a cute idea for parents to get involved with their children and play Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure and Skylanders Giants with more understanding. Children seem to grasp the characters names and each of the elements rather quickly, even though there are so many characters! They know which element is stronger against other elements, but it can be confusing for a parent to follow along.

The Skylanders Homework Pack comes with a pack of 8 character cards and a booklet to help you become the ultimate expert on Skylanders. The booklet is separated into chapters and each day a subject area is covered: History, Science, Toy Types, Game characters, Art and a culminating play time activity. To complete the homework, study one chapter per day (Monday-Friday) and during the course of the week have your child/children quiz you to make sure you have the facts right. There is a reward chart to track your score and stickers are awarded for each point achieved.

I have played the Skylanders games many times, and know the characters, so I felt confident when I received the homework pack to test. . My children and I have played both Skylanders games together, and I have even played the game after they went off to bed! I knew the answers to almost all the questions asked in the booklet, but I did not know which elements were stronger when battling head-to-head.
