The dog days of summer are over and it’s no longer in the 90’s here in New York. So, on a beautiful day of 80 degrees a picnic is in order! Other than food, a blanket is probably the second most important thing to bring. Skip Hop offers a super smart idea: a bag that turns into an outdoor blanket and also has a cooler bag attached to it. (Read more after the jump)
This blanket/bag combo, called Central Park ($45) unzips into a beautiful water-resistant blanket with enough room for the entire family to sit on. After I opened it for the first time I realized I had no clue how to fold it back together but luckily it comes with simple instructions that help you easily fold it back into a carry-on bag. The bag can be worn either on one shoulder or as a backpack. When the blanket is folded is can also serve as a seat cushion. It’s BPA-free, Phthalate-free and PVC-free.
The attached insulated bag has enough room for food and drinks, as well as other items and can also detach completely and turn into a messenger bag. So basically you’re getting multiple products for the price of one!
Skip Hop has recently released new colors for their best-selling Versa Diaper Bag. The new colors are a metallic Bronze and Graphite. This lightweight bag has enormous capacities to expand and features two insulated pockets for bottles and food, and nine more pockets for diapers, clothes, toys and any other items you can think of. In addition, it has a zipper in the center to provide an extra 20% storage space. The Versa is also available in Black, Cream Links and Navy.
You can buy the Central Park blanket here for $45.00

I was not compensated for this post. I received a sample of the Central Park blanket/cooler bag.
