We really enjoyed the Saffron Road Booth at the Summer Fancy Foods show.
While you could serve their fab frozen entrees (which were delicious), they offered simmer sauces so you could throw dinner together quickly (see later in this post).
We loved the chicken tenders — I also served them to my kids at home. My husband thought they were amazing.
We got a huge package from Saffron Roads to test for ourselves.
We tested out the simmer sauces. Just add meat and veggies, as well as a package of Saffron Road’s Simmer Sauce and you have a meal on the table in less than 30 minutes. Perfect for busy families.
You can use fresh or frozen veggies.
I was going to make just the Lemongrass Basil, but used too many veggies. If you want to make ONE dish, use a package of chicken (1lb) and one package or plate of vegetables. I ended up splitting the chicken and veggies into two pans, sautéing them and then adding a sauce to each pan. I just had too much chicken and veggies for one pan. I used the Korma and Lemongrass Basil sauces. Both ended up to be absolutely delicious.

While my husband loves my cooking, he went crazy over this.
The apartment smelled incredible too. The kids, who are tough critics on their own and picky, liked it too. Even our little one.
We also tried their flavored chick pea snacks. My son ran off the with Bombay and wouldn’t let us even try it. I liked the Korean BBQ Flavor and my husband liked the Chipotle.
