Have you been to Stepping Stones Children’s Museum in Norwalk, CT yet? This fun museum is a short drive from NYC and located right in the middle of Mathews Park (you have to pass a mansion to get there). We took a ride last week, while test driving Chrysler’s Town & Country Minivan.
We were utterly charmed once we saw the exterior of the building. My kids loved walking through the “little” door.
You can leave your stroller in the stroller parking (which came in handy when I took my toddler to Tot Town area). Grab a smock and spend some time in the Energy Lab (your child will get wet). (Read more after the jump).
Healthyville was also fun – my two older kids loved “scanning” the fruit and veggies to find out about them.

One of the coolest areas was the Multimedia Gallery.
Kudos to Stepping Stones’ Cafe – the food is healthy (really) and I saw lots of fresh fruit, yogurt, and smart choices, like whole grain pizza and soy burgers.

With a children’s museum, such as Stepping Stones, I recommend becoming a member. If you have young children and live close by, it pays for itself after a few visits.
Thank you to Stepping Stones Children’s Museum for hosting my family and I. We were not compensated for this review.
