Comfort Flex Sport Harness by PetPDC
So, I have been a harness tester for most of my life. On a number of occasions, I have wriggled myself right out of a harness only to be standing next to my mom wearing nothing on the street. That is why I now wear both a harness and a collar with tags- safety first! (Read more after the jump)
The search for a harness that I am not able to escape out of has been going on for a long time. I think my mom has finally solved this puzzle.
Reasons why this harness is amazing:
Safety:
It has a chest strap and a girth strap. The strap that goes around my belly is first closed with velcro and then has a clip over it for extra security. This means that there is no way that even a Houdini like me can escape from it.
Construction/Durability:
This harness, which is made in the USA, is reinforced and stitched with care on all pieces. I have been wearing it for a few weeks and it has not stretched out or lost its shape, which has been the sad fate of many harness that my mom has tossed out or donated previously. This is a harness that is often used for agility, which is we I wanted to try it, and now I can see why. It does not rub or chafe and seems to withstand all of my wriggling, running, jumping and leaping, without budging or causing pain or discomfort.
Comfort/Ease:
This harness is easy to put on and the strap at the top can also help mom grab and lift me safely if there is a fights or scuffle in the dog park. In terms of comfort, it is so soft and delightful that I have fallen asleep many times in my new harness.
Care:
It is machine washable (I would suggest cold water wash and air dry) but this means it can easily be washed and dried after I roll in the mud or grass.
Measurement chart (see tab for sizing)
I would suggest that you look at the girth and also at the breed information. Cousin Sassy first bought a small but just returned it for an XS.
What I Didn’t Like:
The front chest strap is adjustable but it would be better for me if it could be slightly smaller. There is no risk of me slipping out but even at the tightest it can go, it is a little bit loose.
Final Verdict:
Overall, I LOVE IT…My cousin Sassy even squeezed into mine to test it out when I was in Florida and then ordered one in her size!

Pablo Ruiz Goldstein, Canine Reviewer, was born on May 19, 2009 to Mo’s Fancy Pants and Way Mars Black Candy in Pennsylvania. For the first few months of my life, Mishawaka, Indiana was his home until his mom Jenny adopted him. She swooped in with Auntie Caryn (www.carynleighphotography.com) to pick him up. When he first got to NYC, he was so sick and small, but mommy and Dr. Obernesser (http://uptownvetsnyc.com/) saved his life. Now he’s big, strong, shiny and frisky and a healthy 15 lbs, almost double his lowest weight at seven months of 8 lbs.
