My six-year-old is really into dolls, especially dolls that look like little girls. She loves playing with them as if they’re in school or ballet class. In other words, dolls for her are a way to act out issues from her life since dolls are really a reflection of her. A doll that’s her “mini-me” is perfect for her so I was really excited to review the Our Generation Doll & Me Collection.
I recently received the Jessica-Anne doll and two Doll & Me outfits. The doll, which is for age 3 and up, is 18″ and comes fully dressed and with a purse. She has a sweet face and expression and my daughter adored her immediately. The other dolls in the collection are just as beautiful and some even come with their own chapter books for girls to read.
I love how the box with the doll turns into a gift wrap – just flip the reversible jacket and wrap it back around. I also like how the package is made of recycled material and the tray where the doll is can be used for storage.
The doll & Me Collection outfits I received are #3 & #5 which are a pink and orange party dress and a brown skirt & vest outfit, respectively. Both are gorgeous as stand-alone outfits that any young girl can wear but once you put the outfit on the doll as well it’s even more special. My daughter went crazy when she wore the outfits together with her doll! It was cute to see her dancing around with her little “mini-me”. There is a total of 6 different sets (all of them are dresses except for another pink skirt/gray top outfit in picture above). All of the doll outfits fit dolls 18″. Girls’ outfits come in sizes 4-6x.
You can learn more about Jessica-Anne and other dolls here. The dolls are available at Target.
You can purchase the Doll & Me Collection outfits at Target. Price is $29.99 (for both doll and girl dresses).
