We’re so excited! Odd Squad premieres today!
The live-action series will premieres today on PBS KIDS with a special one-hour broadcast of two back-to-back episodes, along with integrated digital and offline content. The series will air on weekdays following the premiere (check local listings).
The series follows two young government agents, Olive and Otto, who use math skills and collaboration to investigate weird and unusual phenomena.
ODD SQUAD is designed to help kids ages 5-8 learn math through a math concept embedded in each of their cases. But here’s the kicker — these are not usual cases. If you wake to find that your dog has been doubled, or that your spouse has shrunk, or that you are somehow caught in a weird time loop — or that you are somehow caught in a weird time loop — that’s when you call Odd Squad. It’s a high-tech agency run by kids equipped with the world’s most advanced and unpredictable gadgetry. Why kids and not adults you ask? This squad is a little odd.
ODD SQUAD is created by Tim McKeon (The Electric Company, Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, Adventure Time) and Adam Peltzman (The Electric Company, The Backyardigans, Wallykazam!) and produced by The Fred Rogers Company and Sinking Ship Entertainment. The television series is part of a multiplatform media experience that will feature interactive content online and on mobile, including games, parent resources, apps and more.
