The other night, I was given a special treat — a meet and greet with Sofia Vergara and a sneak peek of her new movie with Reese Witherspoon, Hot Pursuit — which opens today.
We checked out Sofia’s beautiful new line with Kay Jewelers and I actually won a necklace!
About Hot Pursuit:
I really enjoyed the movie. Reese Witherspoon plays Officer Cooper, who’s pretty uptight. She loves being a police officer and her dad was a legend on the force. She isn’t though — everyone treats her like she’s a joke. She finally gets her big break protecting the wife of a drug boss, Daniella Rivas, played by Sofia Vergara. Things don’t go exactly as planned and Cooper has to protect Mrs. Rivas as they race through Texas pursued by crooked cops and murderous gunmen.
Sofia Vergara and Reese Witherspoon had excellent chemistry together — their characters came from very different worlds but eventually brought out the best in each other.
At the end of the movie, Officer Cooper definitely had some more swagger and Mrs. Rivas was a little kinder and friendlier.
There are some madcap and very zany bits. There is a running gag about Cooper’s height and Rivas’ age. I was howling in laughter- Hot Pursuit is a great movie to see on a girl’s night out!
