Skylar is 18 months old now and frankly has been really slooooow getting into “finger foods” – as in he would just dump them on the floor. Carrots were semi-successful, but then he turned orange (really). Most foods that I would give him (other than scrambled eggs) was regarded with deep suspicion. But the kid had to eat something and I’ve been buying baby food longer than I thought I would be.
So, we did something we didn’t do with our other kids, we fed him stage 3 baby foods (which is chunkier than the other stages). And whenever I buy baby food, I want it to be organic.
One of his favorite brands is Earth’s Best. He goes crazy over their Vegetable Beef Pilaf. Now, I’m not a big beef person, and normally I wouldn’t have tried it, but Earth’s Best sent over some foods for him to test out. I liked it because he got protein, veggies and whole grains, specifically it’s made with organic butternut squash, water, organic ground beef, organic carrots, organic whole grain brown rice flour, organic whole grain brown rice, and organic onions.
The Vegetable Beef Pilaf has 5 grams of protein and 2 grams of fiber per serving, it’s USDA organic, no added salt or sugar, no artificial colors or preservatives. Skylar also likes the Chicken and Stars Stage 3 Jar.
We also love their Fruit Yogurt Smoothies. They come in a pouch and I serve them to Skylar, his 4 year old sister and 6 1/2 year old brother.
They’re USDA Organic Certified, source of Vitamin C & D, good source of Calcium, there’s no artificial flavors, folors or preservatives. They’re also Kosher Certified and you can reseal the pouch!
Available widely.
