As a former teacher and a mother, I love presents that teach kids how to do something or how to make something. Klutz Books lets kids get in touch with their creative side by teaching them how to make something handmade (and the supplies are included!). We recently went to Klutz headquarters, invited by the fabulous Amy Mascott of Teach Mama, to learn about how Klutz Books are great for creating handmade gifts.
A Klutz staffer used their Face Painting Book Kit to draw a My Little Pony character on her face.
Then she turned my 10 year old son into Deadpool.
We enjoyed some fun activities like making Window Art.
Here’s the one I made. Cute, right?
Jewelry making – how cute is that?
As well as String Art!
And who could resist their photobooth? PBS VIPS in the house! Amy Mascott, Divina Rodriguez, and I have been PBS VIP Parent Ambassadors for several years. Also in the picture is my good friend Esti Berkowitz of Prime Time Parenting and Klutz’s Senior Vice President Stacy Lellos.
The best part? All these cool kits come packaged in with detailed instruction books, which makes it the perfect gift for giving as gifts or use them to have your kids create cool handmade gifts for the holidays.
