My kids visit the dentist twice a year and each time we hear the same thing, like a broken record: “your kids have good teeth but they really need to floss”. So we go home and break out the flossers and after two days my kids start slacking off and I get lazy about reminding them and they end up hearing the same thing at their next dentist appointment. We’ve recently come across a unique device for dispensing flossers as well as kid-friendly flossers and tested them out! This post is about how to get your kids to floss without complaints.
Plackers for Kids are flossers that are made with kids in mind. Many kids – including my own – don’t like minty flavor on the toothpastes or flossers. Packers come with “fruit smoothie swirl” flavor. They have a dual-grip handle, which means that the bottom and top parts are very easy to hold, even for little hands. The angled head makes it easier to reach molars in little mouths. They are BPA-free and enriched with fluoride.
I tried them with my kids and right away I loved that the floss didn’t break, even after using it over and over. The fruity flavor taste was very faint, in my opinion, but it didn’t really matter. Plackers work well and I even used them on my three and a half year old, who has a really small mouth and it’s hard to reach his back teeth.
Flossing is really important and a crucial part of health dental hygiene. It reduces tooth decay and promoted healthier gums, plus it helps remove plaque and food.
