When you’re pumping breastmilk and freezing it, thawing and heating it can be a pain. Using the microwave and other methods can overheat and therefore kill the antibodies and other nutrients and also release toxins into the milk, but I recently discovered a bottle warmer that will safely warm bottles and even frozen breastmilk bags: the Kiinde Kozii. (Read more after the jump)
The Kozii has a patented SAFEHeat technology that uses a low-temperature bath and provides high-speed warming. The water swirls around the bottle or bag and warms it gradually. The built-in timer shuts off on its on and the water drains, which eliminates the risk of overheating. It works on breastmilk, frozen or thawed storage bags, formula, liner bottles, plastic, glass and food jars, so you can use it to heat baby food as well. It’s very user-friendly and quick – takes about 5 minutes to warm a 4 oz. bottle and 7 minutes for a 4 oz. bag of frozen breastmilk.
You can purchase the Kozii here for $69.99.
I was not paid for this post. I did receive a sample for review purposes.
