Let’s talk summer travel! Are you getting ready for vacation with your kids? Since we are traveling to a place with a pool the one important aspect for me is protecting myself and my family from the dangers of the sun and using the right sunblock.
Sunology makes sunscreen which is made with a complex that contains vitamins and Omega 6 and 9 oils and no chemicals. All of their products are SPF 50.
But sunblock is not enough. When the sun is strong, wearing appropriate clothing can make all the difference. Coolibar makes beautiful clothes and accessories for the entire family that can block UVA and UVB rays. Click here to pick clothes according to the activity you want to do.
Aside from being protected from the sun and having fun by the pool, the next most important thing when you travel – and this can make or break your vacation – is sleep; making sure young kids get their naps and making their nighttime sleep at the hotel as comfortable and as close to home as possible. When we go away we usually bring a bunch of our kids’ favorite stuffed animals and do our best to stick to their schedule but sometimes there isn’t much you can do; your kids will be cranky and have a hard time falling asleep on the hotel bed or crib that their hotel may provide.
Luckily the folks at Baby Bjorn have come up with the Travel Crib Light – a portable crib that weights only 11 lbs. and sets up in 30 seconds. It can be used for newborns and toddlers up to age 3. You can bring it outside by the pool, keep in the hotel room or even bring it to Grandma’s.
Instead of schlepping a stroller, you can take simply take a Baby Bjorn. The Baby Carrier Miracle has an adjustable belt that can come down to your waist so you can carry bigger babies (up to 15 months) which can make travel easier – no need to worry about walking up or down the staircase.
Making traveling with kids easy is no small feat, but with these great products your summer travel plans are definitely something to look forward to! Bon Voyage!
