Easter is fast-approaching and if you’re looking for a gift that provides a little more substance than just chocolate eggs, I found a toy that can provide hours of playtime during Spring Break and year-round: the Mega Power N’ Play Workbench from Stanley Jr. Easter Gift Idea: Mega Power N’ Play Workbench by Stanley Jr
The workbench ($49.97) is a really cute pretend-play toy that allows kids to “be grownups” while also enabling them to get creative. My five-year-old is at a stage where he wants to do everything Daddy does and will often try to get hold of my husband’s tools from his toolbox. A much safer way for him to be able to “be like Daddy” is with this workbench.
I received a sample for review and loved how easy it was to put it together. My son was actually able to look at the instructions and help me figure out what to do. Within three minutes the workbench was ready to go and my son was delighted to be able to do “grownup work” just like his father.
The workbench includes over 50 pieces, such as a hammer, pliers, saw, wrench and screwdriver, plus a battery-powered Miter Saw that has sound effects so real, the first few times my son used it I had to run to check up on him because it really sounds like a saw.
My son had a blast working on his workbench and putting in the nuts and bolts. He was also excited that there’s a built-in ruler because he is really into measuring things, so he incorporated it into his pretend-play. The Mega Power N’ Play workbench is available only at your local Walmart and walmart.com
