My oldest child is almost 9, but when we bought his crib, we were so sold on the fact that it would “convert” to a bed. But..that never happened. That $400 crib and the one we had for my daughter (now 6 1/2) both fell apart before we could. What a waste!
When we had our third child #3, we decided to go with a super sturdy crib (non-dropside) that doesn’t convert to a bed. While this one didn’t fall apart, I hated the thought of throwing out another crib. We were able to take the side off and use it as a bed, but he’s outgrowing it and I really don’t want to throw out another crib. Check out these awesome ideas on how to repurpose your crib.
A Little Learning for Two Turned her daughter’s crib into a desk for both her girls! This looks amazing! She used a crib a removable drop side (no longer sold), so you could probably just take apart a non-drop side crib, had particle board cut to mattress size, and covered in blackboard paint.
