Disney Social Media Moms 2017 Recap: Going Down to Florida (Days 1 & 2)

In early February, I went down to Florida for Disney Social Media Moms 2017: Land and Sea. Disney Social Media Moms Celebration was starting on Tuesday afternoon, but since I didn’t have much free time at Disney SMMC in 2016 and then I got sick, I really wanted to make sure we had a cushion of time. My mom is a snowbird and lives in Delray, so I booked a flight down to her. The plan was we would drive up to Orlando on Monday morning and spend Monday day and Tuesday at the Disney Parks before Disney Social Media Moms Celebration officially started. Then, while I was at the conference, my mom and my daughter would hang out. My girl was definitely excited and armed with a perk — somehow I had gotten TSA Pre-Check and I sailed through the TSA (and got to bring her).

We had a great flight on Delta and flew into Fort Lauderdale.

After a dinner of Sushi and Pad Thai, we went for ice cream (and they had dairy free — yeah!!) and called it a night.

Day 2 – Morning in Boca

We drove 2o minutes to see my Aunt C. and Uncle B. in Boca Raton – I had never been there before. They have an amazing condo on the beach and the cutest dog named Ollie.

My daughter loved playing with Ollie and then playing on the beach. Next, my aunt took her swimming in the pool and gave her some lessons.

We went to Parkland to meeting my cousin, his darling wife, and their two girls for a delicious Italian Lunch at Pizza Time Caffe. The food was excellent and I loved seeing my family! While I am not going to post a picture, I was thrilled to see them.
