Living in Manhattan is amazing – I love the fast pace, fun, and exciting lifestyle. Fortunately, that hasn’t changed even now that I am a mom. However, getting around the city when I want to have my child safe and secure in his car seat and with all of his things can be a challenge…until now! I started using DropCar, a personal car concierge of sorts, about a year ago and it has changed the way I get around and given me freedom to move about the city without worrying about parking or tickets.
DropCar has two services – one for monthly parking called “Steve” and the other for hourly, on-demand valet services appropriately called “Will.” By using DropCar’s “Will” service, my family and I can be comfortable in our own car with our own car seat and all of our things. We can drive ourselves anywhere in the city and schedule to have a Drop Car valet waiting for us when we arrive. If we go to a restaurant downtown, out shopping in the afternoon or to a doctor’s appointment. Pull up, hand over the keys and walk inside. No more searching for garages! If my little guy is feeling a little grumpy, I can even have the valet drive us home and I can sit in back and console him. All of this for only $15 an hour!!
The more we use the service the more our family loves it. My husband uses it all of the time to go from appointment to appointment throughout the city instead of having to request a new Uber each time. And he has even had the DropCar valet take our car in to be serviced. It’s amazing – the valets will take your car for gas, to be washed or to be serviced if needed. Who has time for that stuff? Not me.
Besides the Will, DropCar has a monthly solution for door-to-door parking which lets you walk right out the front door with your bags and kid in hand without worrying about shlepping to the garage.
in the spirit of giving, DropCar is undertaking a charity initiative with one of New York’s most important charities, Toys for Tots (www.toysfortots.org) who have been providing toys to underprivileged children for the past 20 years.
DropCar customers can simply leave their donations in their car with their personal DropCar chauffeur or valet or call one of the DropCar shuttles to come and pick up from them for free at their destination of choice.
