I’m going to tell you more about my #MARVELousMom. My mom, Sheila, has been a wonderful mother and grandmother to my kids and to my niece. She is kind and considerate and is my sounding board. I was so lucky that we were able to be together on our recent trip to Israel in February – the moments were priceless.
She’s my cheerleader and biggest fan – and the first person to tell me if I’m being silly. She’s amazing and fierce, just like Captain Marvel.

I’m so far away from my real mom, but many wonderful women have “adopted” me and looked after me from neighbors to bosses to teachers. It doesn’t take blood to be the mom that someone needs in their life at that moment.

The most Marvelous mom I know is my daughter’s birth mother. We all love our children, but in my eyes, no one could ever love their child more than she loves ours. To have the courage to give your little girl up to give her a better life, to give her all the chances she never had … She’s amazing! She’s NEVER forgotten a birthday or special occasion, she is ALWAYS there, on the phone, ready to remind our daughter how much she is loved. It’s so beautiful. I cannot believe how lucky I am to share a daughter with such an amazing woman.
