My baby girl is already a little over 7 months old, I can hardly believe it. As I sit here writing this post I’m reflecting on how quickly the time has gone by and how quickly my little Muffin is changing. Learning to eat has been easy for her, but a lot of work for me. I have been so lucky to have breast feeding come naturally and easy for us, and I don’t take it for granted. Preparing food for my baby is definitely a lot more work! I’ve taken to the strategy of cooking up large batches of food and freezing them, and so far that is working great for us.
With that, I’d like to jump into my review of the Kiinde’s Foodii™ Pureed Food Squeeze Snack™ Filling and Feeding System which provides a nice option for storing food and feeding our little ones.
Simply put, the Foodii™ Pureed Food Squeeze Snack™ Filling and Feeding System allows you to easily transfer your home-made baby food (or breast milk/formula) to freezable, one-time use bags and then quickly attach a spoon or spout for easy feeding when the time comes. I think the system is really great and easy to use. It took something that I was a little overwhelmed with (feeding my precious little baby food) and made it less stressful and fun. I like it most for eating on-the-go, but have also used it at home just because it is so easy to attach the spoon and squeeze the food out, and when you have a hungry baby there is no time to waste! It’s also great to have portion-sized bags that make freezing a breeze.
To transfer the food from your blender (or food processor or whatever device you are using to create the food) to the Twist Pouches (plastic bags) you pour the food into the Squeeze Snack Filler (a plastic cup), pop the lid on it and simply pour/squeeze it into the Foodii Pouches. This works best for food that has a more runny, liquid consistency versus something a bit thicker. But, I used it with sweet potato puree that was a little on the thick side and with some squeezing and lots of shaking I was able to make the transfer (it was just somewhat difficult to get the last few clumps of food out).
When it came to feeding time, attaching the spoon was so simple and I had no problems feeding my little one. When you squeeze the plastic bag food comes out of a tiny hole in the spoon, very clever. I used this in the park one day and it was so nice! No bowl or spoon to worry about, I just popped my pouch of food with the spoon (and spoon’s cap) already attached into my diaper bag and was all set.

Can you just pour from blender into twist pouch if you don’t have a funnel or other kiinde products?

I’m not sure — please look at the kiinde website https://www.kiinde.com/

We are just about to start puréed foods and plan to use the Kiinde system bc we’ve loved how simple they’ve been for milk so far. My biggest question is though, if your LO doesn’t finish the food in the pouch, can you pop the lid back on and store in the fridge for later?

Please check with the Kiinde website, I think if your child’s mouth has been on it that you may want to discard contents for safety reasons.
