Summer’s coming around and if you don’t have a handy dandy campfire to make S’mores, then your air fryer will do! S’mores are so named because you’ll always want some more! I spent so many years at sleepaway camp, but it’s not always feasible to host your own campfire when you live in an apartment or a house. While we love s’mores when you can roast your marshmallows on an open fire, you’ll still be pretty happy with these Air Fryer S’Mores. You’re going to need an air fryer (oven or basket type), honey graham crackers, your favorite chocolate bar, and marshmallows, of course. That’s it! Enjoy the sweet treat of making Air Fryer S’Mores and 24 S’Mores Inspired Recipes!
Origin of the term S’Mores
From Wikipedia
S’more is a contraction of the phrase “some more”. S’mores appeared in a cookbook in the early 1920s,[1][2] where it was called a “Graham Cracker Sandwich”. The treat was already popular with both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. In 1927, a recipe for “Some More” was published in Tramping and Trailing with the Girl Scouts.[3][4] A 1956 recipe uses the name “S’Mores”, and lists the ingredients as “a sandwich of two graham crackers, toasted marshmallow and 1⁄2 chocolate bar”. A 1957 Betty Crocker cookbook contains a similar recipe under the name of “s’mores”.[5]
Ingredients
Makes 4
Honey Graham Crackers – at least 8 whole crackers, broken into halves
Chocolate Bars – use between 1-2 little squares per 1/2 cracker
Marshmallows – 16 – use 1 for each half cracker
Instructions:
Lay out your graham crackers. I broke each one in two and laid them out on my air fryer basket.
Place a chocolate square or a chocolate square and a half on each 1/2 cracker.
Then squish a marshmallow (or use mini ones) and place on each 1/2 cracker.
Air Fry at 400 degrees for 1-2 minutes. Now it won’t brown your marshmallows like a campfire would, but its still so delicious!
