While I’m a fan of salmon, I was looking for a new way to prepare it. Then an idea popped into my head – how about lemon dill salmon? I ran over to my favorite place to get salmon and bought a huge piece. I had frozen dill in my freezer and lots of lemon juice. I was ready to attempt to make a new salmon recipe that my family would like (aye, they’re a picky bunch). Armed with a new air fryer, the Gourmia French Door Digital Air Fryer Oven, I started prepping our meal. Would I succeed? Could I make an easy Air Fryer Lemon Dill Salmon recipe that my family would actually want to eat?
Ingredients:
4 salmon fillets (skin on for that crispy goodness)
2 tablespoons of dill (I like the frozen chopped kind because I never use up the herbs before they go bad)
1 cup lemon juice (or as much as you want because there is never enough lemony taste for me)
Salt and pepper to taste (because you always need that)
2 tablespoons of olive oil (for heart health, of course) or an oil spray like Pompeian
Parchment paper
Instructions:
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F. I used the Seafood setting on my Gourmia French Door Digital Air Fryer Oven.
Cut up your salmon. Some people like to pat it dry, but I skip that.
Place your salmon fillets on parchment paper on your tray for your air fryer.
Drizzle your olive oil on your fillets. If you want to use an oil spray like Pompeian, it will work also.
Then drench your fillets with the lemon juice.
Sprinkle your chopped dill over the salmon fillets. Be generous. It adds a lot of flavor.
If you happen to have lemon slices on hand, you’re a rockstar and I’m impressed with your commitment to lemony goodness. Add them on top of your salmon.
Once your air fryer is preheated and your salmon is looking pretty, cook your salmon for about 10-12 minutes, depending on the thickness of your fillets. You want the salmon to be flaky and cooked through, but still moist and tender. If you use the same air fryer I did, the Gourmia French Door Digital Air Fryer Oven, just hit the seafood setting and it will cook your salmon perfectly.
When your salmon is cooked, carefully remove it from the air fryer and let it rest for a minute or two.
Serve up your lemon dill salmon with some grains and veggies and you’ve got a great meal!
Air Fryer Lemon Dill Salmon is simple to make and delicious. My kids as usual refused to even try it (which I understand because no matter what I do, they don’t like lemon on really anything), but my husband and I loved it. He almost had tears of joy in his eyes as he and I found a new favorite way to eat salmon. We liked it so much that we made it again the next night.
