We love salmon in my house. I try to always get wild caught salmon from Alaska because I feel that it’s healthier from my family. Sitka Salmon Shares recently sent us some wild-caught Coho Salmon and Cod fresh from Alaska and we were so pleased! And the even cooler part, I was able to know what fishing boats caught our fish! Read all about Sitka Salmon Shares and then see the delicious Air Fryer Honey Teriyaki Salmon I made with their wild-caught Coho Salmon.

This is how our fish from Sitka Salmon Shares arrived.

How Sitka Salmon Shares Works
Here’s how Sitka Salmon Shares works. You enroll in their community supported fishery, which entitles you to a share.

They catch your fish, one at a time, with lots of love and care. The fish is processed at our plant in Sitka or by one of our trusted partners. There, it’s individually portioned, vacuum-sealed and blast-frozen to lock in that fresh-from-the-ocean taste.
Every month during fishing season, you get a box of wild Alaskan seafood hand-delivered right to your door by one of our affable and well-mannered Sitka Salmon Stewards or our friends at Fed Ex.
All fish are wild-caught from Southeast Alaska and the North Pacific. This is sustainable fishing — it’s harvested using hook-and-line methods. I love that the fish is traceable to the boats of their fisherman-owners and trusted community partners. This fish is blast frozen at the peak of freshness. It’s home delivered directly to your door, with recipes and a newsletter about the fishermen who caught that month’s share, Carbon offsets purchased and 1% of revenue donated to efforts promoting small-scale fisheries and conservation in Alaska.

Air Fryer Honey Teriyaki Salmon Recipe
I usually use frozen wild salmon, so to use this, just thaw out in your fridge for several hours (I usually do 5 hours or so). If it’s not frozen, just run it under cold water until it’s completely thawed.

I made a quick marinade with low sodium teriyaki, a little honey, garlic, and olive oil. I cut each salmon piece into two to portion it out and poured the marinade on.

I let it sit for around 20 minutes. and then put it in my air fryer at 350 degrees for around 12 minutes, turning it over after 6 minutes. I watched the salmon carefully and made sure it was opaque when it was done.

It came out delicious! And it’s very kid-friendly. My family went crazy over it.
