Who loves chicken wings? Did you realize that it was so easy to make in your air fryer? I’m going to walk you through what I did, using frozen wings in my air fryer. I made these tasty Air Fryer BBQ Chicken Wings using frozen wings. You can totally use defrosted or fresh wings.
My wings came out tender and crispy and you can really add whatever sauce or spices that call to you.
What You’ll Need
First, you’ll need chicken wings. You can absolutely use frozen wings (or fresh). I used frozen wings that I picked up at the grocery store. Next I spritzed my air fryer with PAM Coconut Oil Spray Pump. Then I placed my wings inside my air fryer basket and put the wings and drumettes near each other, but not touching. I spritzed the wings and drumettes with some of the PAM Spray pump and then put my air fryer on 360 degrees for 20 minutes. Shake the basket half way through.
After your wings are done, take them out, place them in a bowl or a container (with a top) and then add your sauce of choice. I added one of our favorites, BBQ sauce! I used G Hughes Sugar Free Honey BBQ Sauce. It’s one of my favorite BBQ sauces and since my oldest child has Type 1 Diabetes, I watch the sugar and carbs in our meals.
You put around 2-3 tablespoons’ worth of sauce on the wings.
Put the top on your bowl and shake the bowl, throughly coating the wings.
I topped it with some Italian Parsley just to give it a little zest and voila! BBQ Chicken Wings. Both my husband and I loved it. I plan to make many more types of chicken wings in my trusty air fryer.

3 SP Point Value (Showing Breakdown)
The G Hughes BBQ Sauces are low carb and safe for Keto eating. This is also WW friendly — count the frozen chicken wings each as 2 SP (Blue plan) and then count whatever sauce you use). I used a spray oil so I would count that as 0. G Hughes BBQ Sauce is counted as 1 SP per 2 Tbsp. I used less than 1 Tbsp to coat each wing, but for argument’s sake, I would count each wing as 3 SP to be on the safer side.
