Splendid Spoon recently sent me a bunch of goodies and I want to chat about them! Their meal plans are designed to kickstart healthy habits at breakfast and lunch, so you can reach your health goals. Each meal contains the freshest plant-based, gluten-free, and GMO-free ingredients — and nothing else. I gave it a try and I want to share my thoughts.

How it Works
I was sent the breakfast and lunch plan, which was 5 protein-packed smoothies and 5 veggie-filled bowls. Everything is gluten free and vegan, as I mentioned above. Everything is plant based.
Was I Hungry?
My worry was that I was going to be hungry, but to my surprised, after each smoothie and after each bowl, I was full. The smoothies were actually my favorite – as I am always a smoothie lover.
The Mint Chip Smoothie was just delicious and even though I felt guilty, it was totally healthy.
Ingredients are: Banana, almond butter, coconut nectar, cacao nibs, baobab powder, pea protein, swiss chard juice, spirulina, peppermint and Himalayan salt. This was so good that I would definitely order this again and it was so filling.
My next favorite smoothie was the Raspberry Cacao Smoothie. This also was really filling.
Ingredients include purified water, bananas, raspberries, coconut nectar, cashew butter, pea protein, beet juice, rose water, vanilla extract, cacao, and Himalayan salt.
The Guava Smoothie was also a winner. Which was guava, banana, mango, lime, flax seeds, camu camu powder and Himalayan salt.
The Bowls
As for the bowls, my favorite was the Green Goddess Quinoa bowl. I wasn’t expecting it to be as filling as it was.
I also liked the Cuban Black Bean Bowl. This has a large plantain and had a good flavor (not spicy). I added some grilled chicken on top for an extra burst of protein.
Would I order Splendid Spoon again? Yes, most likely just for the smoothies for breakfast option. It was a quick way to fill up in the morning and tasted delicious.
However, they have noodles also now and since I do like noodles more than quinoa, I would probably order those too. They have kale pesto noodles, sesame noodles, creamy butternut squash noodles, red curry noodles, green curry noodles and tasty ginger noodles. Head over to Splendid Spoon to see what they’re offering this week!
