After performing as a clown for all the major circuses, being a physical comedy consultant for SpongeBob SquarePants the Musical and snagging three Drama Desk nominations for his previous shows, Joel Jeske has come out with a brand-new show that’s incredibly unique and interactive. Created, written and performed by Jeske, it’s playing this month in NYC and you don’t want to miss this charming, one-of-a-kind show.
THE ARTIST WILL BE WITH YOU IN A MOMENT is an immersive audience experience featuring Joel Jeske in a solo comic performance as an artist, performer, and clown. A creative force who “can get laughs simply by breathing” (The New York Times), Jeske invites audiences to participate in a multimedia performance and visual art installation with himself as the character, creator, and subject. The production offers Jeske’s signature treatment of art, physical comedy, and audience interaction in a work that subversively asks us what we choose to value and why.
The show is 70 minutes long with no intermission and is recommended for ages 10 and up.
