When you’re six months pregnant and really showing (some of us more than others) finding out you have a formal event to attend can be daunting. You realize you’ll need a special occasion maternity dress, but you don’t want to pay hundreds of dollars and you still want to look (gulp) attractive. Even with a big belly. I recently received a sample of the Annee Matthew Bianca Maxi dress in Magenta and wore it to an evening wedding. The dress is perfect for formal and semi-formal occasions, and the beading in the empire waist gives it a glamorous look. The color is bright so the dress can work for a daytime event as well as an evening event. The beaded empire waist puts the focus on your cleavage, rather than belly and thighs, which is a huge plus in my book. The great thing about this dress is that you can even wear post-partum and be able to nurse while wearing it. The eco-friendly fabric (made mostly out of Bamboo and Modal which is usually derived from beech trees) is luxurious and breathable and allows for movement without any constriction, while also conforming to your body. The dress also comes in Midnight Blue which is gorgeous for an evening event or even a nice dinner out.
Check out other items made by Annee Matthew, such as tops, pants, swimsuits and some really hot pajamas!
You can purchase the dress here. Price is $169. Click here to find a retailer. Sizes range from extra-small to plus sizes.

On an ordinary night at her dinner table, you can hear things like “More cauliflower, please!”, “How come I didn’t get a lot of tomato?” and “Fish oil! Yaaaay!”
