Sometimes we find ourselves running around and focusing on fall activities and sports, that we forget that kids need to do something creative once in a while to stimulate their brains. Playfoam
Sensory toys are always a lot of fun in my household. My kids love getting messy and creating different shapes with this playfoam. The fact that it doesn’t actually create any mess whatsoever is a big plus for me. My youngest is almost 5 so he’s working on his writing and this is perfect for developing fine motor skills. Doodle a Droodle
Another game that helps kids with both creativity and writing is Doodle a Droodle. This is for older kids, ages 6 and up, who can draw at least a little bit. In the game, you get a card with a doodle on it and place it in the middle of a dry-erase board. Then, with a dry-erase marker, you draw around the doodle to create a new picture. Next, you remove the card and the other players have to guess what is the doodle on the card. You can use a timer but with younger kids I recommend just letting them take their time and have fun. Zookeeper Sorting Box by Haba
When my kids were babies they loved fitting shapes in a sorting box but this sorting box is a little more challenging.
