Bar-S sent me a little package to celebrate my love of grilling.
I picked up Turkey Franks from Bar-S at the local supermarket near my parents’ house in Long Island (I found them immediately) and drove over there with my boys. Bar-S has spent over 35 years producing quality meat products including bacon, hot dogs, sausages, lunch meat and more. They believe that you shouldn’t have to sacrifice great taste to stay on budget.
I was super pleased with the selection at my supermarket and decided to pick up Bar-S Turkey Franks because I usually buy turkey franks and I wanted to see if this was as good as the ones I usually buy.
My kids played in the backyard while my mother and I got everything ready for lunch. I had two packages of Bar-S Turkey Franks, rolls, hummus, and veggies. My mom made the salad and I took the turkey franks outside for my father to grill.
It started to rain very lightly, so I sent my boys back inside while he was cooking. The Bar-S Turkey Franks smelled amazing.
They grilled up nicely and I was starving by this point. 
I enjoyed my Bar-S Tukey Frank on a whole wheat roll with ketchup (never mustard for me) and a salad. It was absolutely delicious. 
My almost 12-year-old son (Mr. Picky Eater 1.0) topped his with salsa and shredded cheese and heartily enjoyed his hot dog. He gave it a big thumbs up. One thing I know with my son, if it wasn’t delicious, he wouldn’t eat it.
To make the salsa & cheddar topped hot dogs, simply grill or cook your hot dogs any way you prefer and top with salsa and shredded cheddar. I used the fresh salsa from the supermarket, but you can use any kind. My son loves spicy, so he added hot sauce to his salsa.
I took the rest of the Turkey Franks home and my husband loved them too. He actually ate them all before I could have another one!

The salsa and cheddar toppings look yummy. It has been so long since I’ve had a hot dog that I will have to plan to purchase next time I am at the grocer and BBQ some up for the family.

We like BarS brand quite a bit and it is what I buy. Their products are really reasonably priced and go on sale quite a bit too. We go through a ton of the hot dogs and lunch meats in the summer!
I have never tried Turkey dogs before. I usually buy there all beef hot dogs.

Bar-S dogs are half the price of other brands. That is the only brand we buy.
We have been eating Bar S Franks since I was a kid. I remember getting these for Summer barbecues for 3 for a $1. These hot dogs taste so good barbecued! My kids love them
Ooh yum! My kids have been obsessed with hotdogs all summer long. I think they could live off of them if I allowed it! HA! Nothing beats grilled hot dogs.
This was everything that you needed to execute a perfect BBQ. I love hot dogs and can’t be at a cookout unless they are included as part of the menu.
Never heard of Bar-S either. I’m hot dog obsessed – and grill obsessed, as we just moved out of the city to purchase our first home. It’s all grill, all the time. Will have to see how these compare to our usual!

I’ve never seen this brand around, so I’m not sure it’s anywhere near us. We do love a great grilled hot dog! Nothing compares to grilling them outdoors.
We love Bar S franks! Both my daughters are big fans of hotdogs in buns with ketchup so we always serve them when we grill!
I love great barbecue. Franks are always on the menu so Bar S is a brand I will definitely look out for the next time we plan a barbecue.
