If the names Sir Topham Hatt, Bertie the Bus and the Island of Sodor are familiar in your household chances are you have a Thomas-obsessed toddler. This summer, come visit Thomas and his friends, Percy, James and Emily at Thomas Land™ in Edaville Family Amusement Park in Massachusetts – the only Thomas the Tank Engine™ theme park in the US and the third in the world!
You may remember our writer Julianne visited Thomas Land when it first opened (Read that post here – http://www.themamamaven.com/2015/09/15/visiting-thomasland-at-edaville ) but we were curious to see it for ourselves.
Thomas Land™ features 11 rides based on Thomas & Friends and feature favorite characters, such as Thomas, Gordon, Cranky the Crane, Harold the Helicopter and more. The Island of Sodor will feature destinations such as Tidmouth Sheds, Knapford Station, and Brendam Docks. There’s also a 20-minute scenic train ride on a life-sized replica of Thomas the Tank Engine™. Sir Topham Hatt will be available for photo opps and meet & greet opportunities. Click here to see all of the rides and attractions.
Thomas Land™ is set on over 11 acres and is a part of Edeaville, a much larger park which includes two other parks: Dino Land, featuring 23 animatronic life-size dinosaurs and Cran Central, an amusement park which includes vintage amusement rides, such as an antique carousel and an illuminated ferris wheel, as well as other attractions, such as a roller coaster, drop tower and more. It’s located in Carver, MA and situated between Boston, Providence and Cape Cod – perfect for a summer getaway.
