All over the blogosphere and web, you’re going to see post after post about New Year’s Resolutions. Let’s do a more realistic one, shall we?
1. More Rest – Going to bed at 11pm will never happen for me, but instead of going to bed at 1AM, I will try for 12 or 12:30. Much more doable. I love to get blogging done in an ultra quiet house, but making my bedtime a wee bit earlier, shouldn’t hurt.
2. Health – Most important thing ever. But I’ve been bad about scheduling a mamogram. I’m in my 40’s and haven’t done this yet. This year I will.
3. Health Part 2 — Weight Loss. I’ve dieted for years.. Hate that word. Of course I want to get fit and healthy, but diet is just a bad word for me. I’m going to get more active. I already have eating restrictions with my lactose sensitivity, so I’m not going to restrict what I eat.. Just. get. more.active. I plan to find a family yoga class for the weekends and go to the gym twice a week. That’s realistic for me.
4.Happiness — I want to be happier. Smile more, dance around more with my kids. Appreciate their strengths and understand why they sometimes do the crazy things they do.. And watch Downton Abbey.
