Going back to work recently meant that I need to make sure I look perfect when I leave the house in the mornings. My new best friend? Downey Wrinkle Releaser Plus.
The company recently sent me some to check out for myself. I’ll admit I was a little skeptical, since I avoid ironing at all costs (my husband takes care of his own shirts for work). To get wrinkles out of clothes means you have to grab your iron, right? Well, not always.
Downey Wrinkle Releaser Plus can also eliminate odors, refresh fabrics, remove static, and of course, help smooth things out while you iron — but it can also be used instead of your iron!
It can also help remove wrinkles in pillowcases, bed sheets, drapes, tablecloths, napkins — basically anything around the house like that. It can also refresh couches, my husband’s easy chair, and my children’s car seats. And if you’re running out the door and you’ve got static cling — grab the Downy Wrinkle Releaser Plus and give a spritz or two. In fact, I now keep one of the small bottles of Wrinkle Releaser Plus in my desk at work (to avoid any fashion emergencies).
The light fresh scent is delicate and not overpowering (my eyes have watered from some of those other fabric refreshers, but Downy did not trigger anything).
How to Use Downy Wrinkle Releaser Plus (without pulling out your iron).
1. Hang up your item (I used the tee that Downy sent for my experiment).
2. Spray with Downy Wrinkle Release Plus.
3. Tug the item to smooth out the wrinkles.
4. As you can see, the tee is so much smoother. If you end up spraying too much on, you may have to wait for it to dry a little.
After using the Downy Wrinkle Releaser Plus, I am a big fan now. Even this morning, I spritzed it on my dress to smooth it out before I left home. TIP: You can also use the Downy Wrinkle Releaser to freshen something up if you haven’t had a chance to get to the dry cleaner (it happens!).
I also spritzed it on my oldest child’s stinky water resistant sport sandals and let them dry overnight (he left it in his backpack over the weekend and they smelled awful). They smelled so much better in the morning.
