I love being outdoors in the summer but let’s face it: some days are just too humid and muggy to be out. I always like to keep a stash of unopened toys for those times when I hear “I’m bored!” Here are two from ALEX Toys that can really get kids’ imagination going and banish boredom.
Calling all mad scientists! This kit includes 6 unique glowing activities such as a glow stick (pictured above), 30 glow in the dark stars for making constellations on the ceiling and glow in the dark slime. It also includes a handbook with instructions and explanations of how these activities actually work. You can purchase it here for $25.99. The kit is for kids ages 8 and up, but my daughter (at 7 1/2) really enjoyed it.
Is there a pirate fan in your house? This unique kit comes with an activity guide that has 4 different activities to do with pirate treasure, plus facts and tidbits about pirates. It also comes with a digging block that has real pirate treasure inside it. Just spread some newspaper on the floor and start digging! The kit also comes with a digging tool and a treasure chest to keep the treasure you found. My kids had a blast! You can purchase it here for $25.99. For ages 4 and up.
