This is my second post as a Pull-Ups® First Flush Ambassador. By now, I had hoped to announce that Skylar has been potty trained… but we’re not there yet. The good thing is he has become more aware and will use the potty now. The key? Pull-Ups® and his big sister. She can coax him onto the potty.
He was definitely interested in the Pull-Ups®when they arrived. One of the reasons was because of the cool designs. Three different designs come in the jumbo package: Cars, Toy Story, and Monsters, Inc. Skylar is a huge Cars fan, so those were his favorite.
Also, Pull-Ups® are more comfortable for him. He can also pull them up and down himself on the potty, which he does do.
Skylar is understanding more, so I think he is going to get it soon. Skylar’s speech delay does present a challenge, but he is understanding more and more everyday. We’re consistent with what we’re doing, but he’s just not in sync with us yet. I love this quote from the Big Kid Academy website, “Potty training is not a one-size fits all process. Online information is best used to give you some ideas, which you can tailor to your own child and family philosophy.”
So, come along on our journey!
We’ve been turning to the Big Kid Academy via the Pull-Ups website, Facebook page, and Twitter page, to help us. I was able to customize and print out this chart to mark my son’s potty training accomplishments.
Do you have any tips? I’d love to know what worked and what didn’t work for you.
