I love visiting South Street Seaport in the warmer months when I can enjoy the stunning views, go sailing, spend some time shopping and dining and have my kids run around at the playground. But what I didn’t know is that during the winter months the seaport is actually a busy place, filled with a plethora of events and entertainment. There’s a really awesome ice skating rink that’s actually very affordable and this past weekend I took my daughter ice skating.
Here’s our adventure:
My daughter, who just turned 7, has never gone ice skating before, but she learned pretty quickly and loved every minute of it!
I loved the view of the spectacular Christmas Tree:
The Mistletones Carolers sang some beautiful acapella Christmas Carols:
Hot Chocolate at the Skate Shop was delicious! They’ve got interesting options like Nutella Empanadas, filled Churros and Kielbasa on Pretzel bun.
We had a blast!
