Consignment is a great way to save money, make money and be eco friendly all in one stop. Shops are a good way to do this but did you know that Kids Kloset holds several sales events in our area and one starts Saturday? I have gone to several of their sales and without fail found great deals n clothes, baby items and toys. In fact when I found out our second baby was a boy I hauled all of our daughter’s clothes out of storage and became a consignor. It takes a bit of effort to get everything together but when you do there can be big payoffs. Saturday’s sale is located in Nassau county at the Mitchell athletic complex in Garden City and will have over 38,000 items for sale. Everything is organized and categorized by size, gender and type of item and there is a surprisingly number of brand new items with tags on, especially in the baby clothing racks. I was able to attend the pre-sale Friday and this is the best stocked sale I have seen! I found some barely worn items from Janie and Jack, Ralph Lauren and Mini Boden. They also had a great selection of halloween costumes, tons of toys and even a car shaped bed!
Kids Kloset inspects every item before they add it to the sale, everything must be washed, spot and tear free and within the last few seasons and every time I have been happy with the quality. The sale opens to the general public Saturday September 22nd from 9-6 and then again Sunday from 9-3 when everything left is sold for 50% off! I do suggest you get there as early as possible for the best deals and don’t worry about bringing your own bag or cart, they provide Ikea bags to the shoppers. If you see a big item you want to put on hold, simply bring it to the hold section and they will tag and watch over it for you until checkout. Too busy this weekend to make it? You can attend the Suffolk County sale on November 10-11th in Deer Park.
