I love salads, but sometimes you have to play around with flavors and ingredients. My kids love cucumbers and watermelon. I added some Organic Balsamic from Tessemae’s for a fun dinner side dish that was full of flavor. I paired it with my Honey Balsamic Peach Chicken Recipe and corn on the cob. Note: if you are following Whole 30, you cannot serve it with this chicken recipe (since there is honey in it).
Cucumber Watermelon Salad (Whole 30 Compliant)
Ingredients:
You’ll need two regular sized cucumbers (organic if possible)
1 small watermelon or 1/4 big watermelon
Tessemae’s Organic Balsamic Dressing and Marinade
Instructions:
Peel and slice up two cucumbers into bite sized pieces
Cut up watermelon into bite site pieces
Mix together.
Add balsamic dressing to taste. It really kicked up the flavors and made it tangy. My kids liked it because I hadn’t served anything similar. it was sweet and savory at the same time.
Serve!

I make sliced cucumbers with vinaigrette dressing. I did not think to add watermelon to my salad.
