Expectant mom Natalie Stanton of Natfly Love is helping us out to review some great items for pregnant mamas. And she’s our model today!
I am loving every minute of being pregnant. This will be our first child and conceiving was not easy for us. It cost us a lot of time, emotion and money to get to this point. My heart and uterus were parched for years for a little one and now I am enjoying this tall glass of pregnancy. I am currently 21 weeks and drowning in the joy of all things pregnant women get to do, including shop and wear maternity clothes.
So, it has been a delight to have the opportunity to review a couple pieces from Mom’s the Word’s maternity collection. My two favorite pieces arrived a couple of weeks ago wrapped in tissue paper and a bow. Don’t you just love when companies make that extra effort to make your order feel special? I do.
I first took out the Madison Maxi Dress. and noticed how lusciously soft it felt. As soon as I tried it on, I knew it would be one of my favorites. And, it has been. I wore it for a recent maternity shoot in Bushwick, Brooklyn with the talented and fun Mariliana Alvero of Stylish and Hip Kids Photography.
The first photo shows how the ruched and stretchy fabric accents my very loved bump.
The next photo, I paired the dress with my favorite Vince vest and wedges. I love how you can pair this black dress with so many things or nothing at all and it will always be flattering and FUN; I mean look what a great time I am having on the back of that trailer. I also think it would look great with a jean jacket. Or if you are not in a trailer mood you can also dress this maxi up with some great jewelry and heels (or gorgeous flats if your pregnancy is not heel friendly).
The next goodie I received is my favorite pregnancy t-shirt EVER – The Buddha Belly Tee. When I saw it, I had to have it to cover my new Buddha belly. This Buddha shirt is so great. I love wearing it and watching people smile at it as they walk by. I smile about it every time I think about it. It’s just perfect for my maternity yoga practice as you can see in the photo below.
The position I am in is particularly special to me. This is a pose I do at the end of my Divine Mother Prenatal Yoga DVD, when Anna Getty, the instructor, says put one hand on your heart and one hand on your baby while I am sitting cross-legged on the floor. It is so special because at our sixteen week ultrasound the baby was sitting cross-legged with one hand on his heart and the other on his head (the baby), just like the pose in the photo that I do at the end of my yoga. I guess I am growing a little yogi in there!

I am so grateful for all the happiness these clothes have brought me. I am looking forward to ordering some more Mom‘s the Word soon.
I received the Mom’s the Word clothing in the photographs for the purposes of this review. All opinions are my own.
