Things are always super busy with three kids, working, blogging, working out… etc… By the time I get everyone out the door and walk my kids to summer camp, I have to be on my way to start my day. Which means I don’t get to make sure I eat something healthy – I have to make due with what I can pack or what I can pick up on the go. While I would love to sit down and enjoy a leisurely breakfast before the craziness of the day starts, I’m usually grabbing a quick shower and then making sure my 6-year-old son actually puts on clothes and brushes his teeth (it’s a war). So I have to grab what food I can or buy something after everyone’s dropped off. Unfortunately, I don’t always make the best choices and I won’t have the protein I need to fuel my day. I was excited when I was offered the chance to try Jimmy Dean Simple Scrambles. With two eggs, cheese, and meat, I can enjoy something delicious and packed with protein on the go.
Jimmy Dean Simple Scrambles contains real eggs, cheese, and meat. Choose from Bacon, Sausage, or Meat Lovers – which has both sausage and bacon. I picked up the Sausage and the Meat Lovers versions at my local Walmart recently. Jimmy Dean Simple Scrambles: Sausage offers real eggs, sausage, and cheddar cheese for 22 grams of protein. Jimmy Dean Simple Scrambles: Meat Lovers contains real eggs, sausage, cheddar cheese, and bacon for 23 grams of protein.
It’s also super easy to make. Inside the package is two items – a container with 2 pre-beaten eggs and a package with meat and cheese. Take both out of the package and then pour the eggs back into the package (it’s a cup). Microwave on high for 45 seconds (the cup and eggs will be hot). Then stir the meat and cheese into the egg mixture and microwave for 30 to 40 more seconds. Let it sit for a minute and then enjoy. I can make this quickly and eat it on the go (just bring a fork and napkins) or pack it in a little cooler and enjoy it when I get to work.

I have bought the Simple Scrambles for some time now. I opened up two today 7/28/2018 and found these to have an abundance of shells in them. I had to throw them away. These were the Sausage ones. I don’t expect anything in its place but wanted to make you aware of this problem. I am concerned that my other ones ( 5 ) may have the same problem. I looked but did not find any plant numbers on the container. I do know that it came from Hilshire Brands Chicago Il 60607. The sku # is 77900 65047
