The holidays seem far away but for people who like to plan ahead – now’s the time to start thinking about which gifts to get. I recently attended an event for V-Tech’s newest toys and while most will be available for purchasing only in October, take a look at some of my favorite picks for kids of all ages (and scroll to the bottom for one special product available now!)
For babies the Smart Shots Sport Center ($39.99, 12-36 months) is a great way to get them started on sports. They can play soccer or basketball while learning numbers, shapes, opposites, sing-along songs and more.
With the Go! Go! Smart Wheels Ultimate Amaze-ment Park Playset ($59.99, 1-5 years) kids will be able to place a race car at the top of the tower, pull the flag and watch as it races down over eight SmartPoint locations to hear fun music and sounds.
Who could resist the Go! Go! Smart Animals Zoo Explorers Playset? ($39.99, 1-5 years) Kids can have their very own zoo complete with seven SmartPoint locations with different phrases, music and fun sounds. Additionally, the zoo’s electronic entrance teaches animals names, traits, letters, colors and play music.
The hugely popular Switch & Go Dinos are going Turbo this year ($9.99-44.99, 3-8 years). With cool sound effects, these dinosaurs switch into race cars.
The InnoTab 3 Plus, 3S Plus and MAX ($59.99-109.99 3-9 years) are tablets made just for kids and will be out this August. Kids can use this to play, learn geography and math, or unleash their creative side with art studio or movie maker. They can use the tilt sensor to interact with games, talk into the microphone and even listen to their own MP3s with the music player.
Gadgets keep getting smaller and smaller and V-Tech is on top of their game with the Kidizoom Smartwatch ($59.99 4+). This incredible gadget lets kids take photos, add photo effects, record videos and play built-in games. It’s compatible with PC and MAC and features a durable design that’s splash and sweat proof, plus it can withstand drops and bumps. Perfect for little wrists and creative minds. I was not compensated for this post. I received samples.
