My kids and I recently attended a luncheon at Sugar Factory to celebrate the launch of Astroblast! – a new animated show on Sprout. The show, based on the book series of the same name, has been produced by Scholastic Media and is an adorable and unique show currently playing seven days a week. At the event we learned about the show, met Nina from the Good Night Show and had incredible food (and desserts!)
Astroblast is a show too cute for words. In its core is a space station (which is more like a clubhouse) named Astroblast which is run by a cast of animal characters. The show imparts messages about how to embrace differences, model positive behavior and foster healthy habits. Click here to watch some short videos from the show.Michele Lepe who plays Nina on the the Good Night Show on Sprout made an appearance and told us about some new shows to look out for on Sprout. I spoke to her in person and found her very sweet and charismatic.
Lunch was provided by Sugar Factory American Brasserie. Located in the meatpacking district of Manhattan, it is a restaurant, candy store and nightclub all rolled into one. Check out the gorgeous chandeliers!
The food at Sugar Factory is really good, but the main feature is the desserts. We were treated to ice cream, cupcakes, a chocolate fondue and more! My kids were in seventh heaven! They were even more thrilled when they got to take home their own candy bag.My kids have been begging me to take them to Sugar Factory again. Not only is it a family-friendly restaurant, I can go there with my husband on date night- in the evenings Sugar Factory turns into a nightclub complete with music and alcoholic drinks filled with candy. That’s a win-win in my book!

I was not compensated for this post. I received a great lunch and a gift bag.
